引导状语从句的连词so····that的用法(三)

1.so····that/such····that引导结果状语从句，意为"如此···· 以至于 ···· "

①so+形容词／副词＋that

②such+a/an+形容词＋可数名词单数＋that

③such+形容词＋可数名词复数/不可数名词＋that

④so+形容词＋a/an+可数名词单数＋that

⑤so+many/few+可数名词复数＋that从句

⑥so+much/little+不可数名词

eg：She is such a lovely girl that we love her very much.

→ She is so lovely a girl that we love her very much.

她是一个如此可爱的女孩，以至于我们都非常爱她。

We have so much time that we can finish the work very well.

我们有如此多的时间，以至于我们能很好地完成工作。

They spoke_________quietly_________I could hardly hear them.

解析：本题用分析句子结构法。分析句子结构知，第二空后为完整的句子，只能用so. . .that或such. . .that引导结果状语从句，排除C、D;

so. . .that中心词是形容词或副词，such. . .that 中心词则是名词。本句两空中间的 quietly是副词。所以选B。

2. 当that 引导的结果状语从句是肯定句时，so. . .that 可与 be. . .enough to do 互换使用；

当that 引导的结果状语从句是否定句时，可与too. . .to. . . 或者be not. . .enough to do 进行转换。

e.g. He was so clever that he could understand what I said.

→ He was clever enough to understand what I said.

他很聪明，能理解我说的话。

The girl is so young that she can't dress herself.

→The girl is too young to dress herself.

→The girl is not old enough to dress herself.

这个女孩太小了，还不能自己穿衣服。
