area,region,district 的区别

1 area 用得最广，表示的“地区”可大可小，通常不指行政分区。

The people in this area are friendly.

这的人们很友好。

2 region 表示较大的“地区”，可指行政分区，也可不指行政分区。

The southest region of England is the richest.

英国东南部是最富有的。

Italy is divided into 20 regions.

意大利被划分为20个行政区。

3 district 表示的“地区”比 region 小，可指行政分区，也可不指行政分区。
